Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is an affordable and exciting new advanced underground imaging technology using radio waves to record soil layering and many types of physical features buried under the ground and in man made structures.

The Easy Locator is mainly used for the location of subsurface services. Unlike standard locating tools, the Easy Locator does not depend on the ability of the utility to conduct an electric signal or current. This makes it extremely powerful for locating PVC water mains, gas and asbestos pipes. In addition to this the Easy Locator will also locate concrete sewer and storm water pipes.

Modern advances in technology, particularly in the design and construction of buried utilities, have resulted in an ever increasing use of non-metallic materials.

GPR is the only technology available that does not require a physical connection to the utility, nor does it rely on radiating electromagnetic (EM) fields that may or may not be present or detectable.

The GPR is also used for detecting post-tension cables in concrete slabs. However our Concrete Scanner provides a higher level of confidence in those occasion. We offer our GPR Service along with our regular Radio Frequency Location Equipment
