My motorbike started it's life as a 1984
Honda VF750 petrol powered machine. It is now a zero emission bike
powered by an electric motor and batteries able to be charged at
any household power outlet from mains power. As electricity is now
available from green sources like wind and solar in NSW (Australia),
it's environmentally friendly.
The purpose of building this vehicle is to prove that the carbon
cycle can be side stepped and anyone can achieve the same goal.
It will enable me to ride past fossil fuel points of sale and wave
to hapless oil company slaves, that includes me too by the way,
as we refuel our 130 year old technology vehicles to add to the
green house effect.
Unfortunately, I still must use a carbon burner for work….
for the moment. That will be the next project.
The EM is an experiment, which I hope will encourage others to do
likewise and that through my experience the path can be made simpler
for any who follow.
Range, available power and other technical matters will be made
crystal clear in the coming weeks.
I will be listing component details and where to obtain them soon,
also wiring diagrams etc. All the components are readily available
off the shelf now. |

ZERO EMISSION ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE
Pictured are the deputy mayor of my local council (Sutherland Shire)
Tracie Sonda and myself. Tracie is keen to promote the use of zero
emission vehicles (ZEVs) in our area and hopes to persuade the local
council to provide charging facilities at convenient locations around
our area. |
